WOW! The Redesigned 'Harry Potter' Books by a Hungarian Student are Amazing!

KincsÅ‘ Nagy, a Hungarian design & illustration student, did the complete revamp of the covers and interior illustrations for the Harry Potter book series for her final school project. Look at these beautiful glowing cut out covers for The Philosopher’s Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix, The Half-Blood Prince, and The Deathly Hallows are just the tip of the iceberg.

Nagy made new bindings and covers for all seven books, but fully illustrated Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (US: Sorcerer’s Stone), including “interactive” illustrations:

...my goal was to redesign them with such illustrations that able to show this extraordinary atmosphere of the books. I started to experiment with interactive illustrations what not distract attention from the plot, but add to the story.

The cover is simple: black paper cover, laser cutted illustrations, and titles... the magic part of the book, that it glows in the dark.

Most of the illustrations have some "playing" part, one of them pop up, the ohters can be opened, to look inside... Each illustration was created with stencil, scanned, and colored in photoshop.

Hope Bloomsbury or Scholastic will use the redesign Harry Potter books by Nagy cause these are amazing!
